Gordon has been performing and composing music all of his life as a solo artist, a member of several bands and as a recording session artist.
As a founding member of Beyond the Pale, their latest CD
Paleontology, features Gordon's original songs and compositions as do their earlier releases,
“The Music Plays Me”, Queen of Skye”, “
Strange Turns” and
“Angel on the 7th Stair.”
His original songs, include the award winning song, “
Hester”, featured on
Queen of Skye. His song “Dog Year” won first place in Nacogdoches’ American Festivals New Traditions Song Contest. Gordon has recently released a solo CD entitled
Dog Year which is available from
CD Baby.
Gordon also performs with
The Aisling String Trio, The Texas Gypsies and
The Trinity Hall Session Players. He has a great love of traditional Irish music and also enjoys playing swing music, especially in the "gypsy jazz" style.Gordon also works as a producer, specializing in acoustic, roots oriented music and operates a recording stuio,
